IOP Publishing (IOP), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Institute of Physics, has announced that its new materials journal, 2D Materials, has published its inaugural issue. Professor Vladimir Fal'ko, from the University of Lancaster, serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
The journal recognises the huge growth in materials research across a wide variety of disciplines, and will serve the community by publishing research that focuses on applications and fundamental science concerning all aspects of graphene and 2D materials.
As part of the initial launch phase, all content in the journal will be free to read for individual users, universities and academic research institutes throughout 2014.
