LibQUAL+ has announced the opening of registration for 2013. With an ever-expanding community composed of libraries from over 25 countries around the world, now is the time to kick-start your assessment with the capability to benchmark with more than a million complete surveys of data.
In 2010, LibQUAL+ introduced a fee structure with two important features. First, it kept the same base fee for the LibQUAL+ survey implementation, which it continues to carry over to 2013. Second, it implemented a fee structure that offers the LibQUAL+ survey for less on an annual and biennial basis. The pricing rewards periodic, structured participation and encourages libraries to make participation decisions strategically, rather than on an ad hoc basis.
Past participants may register at http://www.libqual.org/. The fee also covers access to all the results from all the institutions for the year one registers. New participants can set up a new account for registration by writing to libqual@arl.org.
Interested parties are required to register by May 1, 2013, to participate in LibQUAL+® 2013 Session 1 (January–May) and by November 1, 2013, for 2013 Session 2 (July–December).
LibQUAL+ is a suite of services that libraries use to solicit, track, understand, and act upon users' opinions of service quality. These services are offered to the international library community by the Association of Research Libraries. The programme's centerpiece is a rigorously tested web-based survey bundled with training that helps libraries assess and improve library services, change organizational culture, and market the library. This assessment protocol has been used by more than 1,200 libraries across the globe since 2000. LibQUAL+ is located on the web at http://www.libqual.org/.
