Journal production services provider Dartmouth Journal Services (DJS) and The Sheridan Technology Lab have upgraded the Endo Pubs app, which was originally launched as an abstracts app for The Endocrine Society's (TES) journals, to a full-text plus annual meeting abstracts version. TES titles include JCEM: The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, Molecular Endocrinology, Endocrinology and Endocrine Reviews.
Developed and launched on both the Apple and Android platforms, this full-text upgrade allows clinicians and researchers to access both abstracts and full-text articles, including full-text PDFs, from the free Endo Pubs app as soon as articles and issues are published. As a bonus to users, The Endocrine Society has made the full-text content of all four journals freely available through August 1st. After the free introductory period, users can authenticate themselves within the app as either an individual subscriber, member, or as an institutional subscriber to continue accessing the full-text content.
Unauthenticated users will still have access to article abstracts and all of the other features of the app, including multi-tier title and author search, article bookmarking, and article sharing via email, Twitter, and Facebook. Full-text readers can also view high-resolution images, expanded view of tables, and in-article reference citations. The Endo Pubs app also supports advertising and sponsorship opportunities through its integrated ad mediation system.
Sheridan's ongoing commitment to developing and providing the latest publishing technology advancements extends beyond Full-Text and Alert Apps to include Sheridan Mobile Alerts, Sheridan Mobile Editions, Sheridan Mobile ePrints, and Sheridan Print-to-Mobile QR Codes.
