The Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels and the Goethe Institute offered facts and insights into the German market, as well as opportunities for obtaining financial support for translations.
The Association of Educational Publishers made a presentation entitled, 'Education Metadata - Why LRMI will change your business.' The presentation noted that as the LRMI (Learning Resource Metadata Initiative) is built on the framework supported by Google, Yahoo! and Yandex. It will soon be the de facto tagging system for learning resources on the web. Speakers shared information about LRMI and why having a metadata strategy for a business is more important than ever.
