Prof. Edgar Knobloch appointed new co-Editor-in-Chief of Nonlinearity journal -

Non-profit scientific publisher IOP Publishing (IOP), UK, has announced that Professor Edgar Knobloch has been appointed as the new co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Nonlinearity. The journal is jointly owned by the Institute of Physics and the London Mathematical Society and published by IOP Publishing.

With a wealth of experience in the nonlinear community, Professor Knobloch currently holds the position of Professor of Physics at the University of California, Berkeley and is a visiting professor at Loughborough University. His previous appointments include a Chair in Applied Mathematics at Leeds University, and research positions at Harvard University and the University of Cambridge. His research interests centre on nonlinear dynamics of dissipative systems.

Professor Knobloch joins current co-Editor-in-Chief, Professor Anatoly Neishtadt, Loughborough University. He succeeds Professor Jon Keating of the University of Bristol. Professor Keating leaves the position after 8 years, having ensured that Nonlinearity is a place where researchers can both read and publish the most stimulating work in nonlinear science.
