Four SAGE/CQ Press titles named Outstanding Reference Sources by RUSA -

Academic publisher SAGE has announced that the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA, a division of ALA) has placed four SAGE/CQ Press titles on its Outstanding Reference Sources List for noteworthy reference titles published in 2012.

The four SAGE/CQ Press titles recognised are: Encyclopedia of Housing, Second Edition, edited by Andrew T. Carswell, SAGE; Encyclopedia of Trauma: An Interdisciplinary Guide, edited by Charles R. Figley, SAGE; Presidents and Black America: A Documentary History, by Stephen A. Jones and Eric Freedman, SAGE/CQ Press; and Women in American Politics: History and Milestones, by Doris Weatherford, SAGE/CQ Press.

RUSA's Outstanding Reference Sources Committee places titles on the Outstanding Reference Sources List that are determined to be valuable resources and highly recommends them for inclusion in any library's collection.

The awards are sponsored by RUSA's Collection Development and Evaluation Section (CODES). CODES created the Outstanding Reference Sources Committee in 1958 to select distinguished reference material for small and medium-sized academic libraries.
