McGraw-Hill Education, a division of the McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc., US, has announced the appointment of Ronald Schlosser as executive chairman of its board of directors. Schlosser is a senior advisor to Apollo Global Management on investments in education, and he has extensive experience as a global business leader, achieving outstanding results at a variety of education and information companies.
In his new position, he will work closely with Buzz Waterhouse, president and chief executive officer of McGraw-Hill Education, and our other senior leaders, providing guidance on industry best practices, performance improvement, product strategy, trends and opportunities in international markets, and more. Prior to Apollo, Mr. Schlosser was chairman and chief executive officer of Haights Cross Communications (HCC), an educational and library publishing company, where he led expansion of the company's product lines especially with digital segments.
