Australia’s Swinburne University of Technology goes live with Ex Libris’ Alma -

Library automation solutions provider Ex Libris Group has announced that Australia's Swinburne University of Technology - an Alma collaborative partner - is in production with the Ex Libris Alma library management solution. In addition, Swinburne University is the first live Alma site whose cloud-based services are delivered by the company's new data center in Singapore.

With a full suite of Ex Libris systems in operation on the Swinburne campus for a number of years, Swinburne welcomed the opportunity to replace much of its library software with a complete, streamlined solution for managing the library's diverse collections and - through Primo - making them fully discoverable.

Swinburne University is now carrying out a multifaceted, yearlong change program that will have an impact on many aspects of the library's operations. The implementation of Alma at Swinburne marks another important event - the opening of the new Ex Libris data center in Singapore. Ex Libris customers in the Asia-Pacific region will now benefit from high‑performance, high‑availability cloud‑based services delivered by a data center in their own backyard.
