University of Arizona selects Ex Libris Rosetta to drive large scale digital asset management and preservation for a consortium-led initiative -

Library automation and preservation solutions provider Ex Libris Group has announced that the University of Arizona has adopted the Rosetta digital management and preservation solution as a key component of its repository services. Designed to expose the University's rich digital collections for the benefit of diverse audiences, the project will better enable the University of Arizona to provide sustained access to scholarly digital content and research to both university members and the broader academic community.

Rosetta's ability to provide end-to-end digital asset management and preservation for the vast array of assets and research data that the university possesses, its consortial architecture that allows participating institutions to maintain a degree of autonomy, and its ability to act as a transitional component between multiple display layers, made it the clear choice for Arizona.

Installed in libraries and archives worldwide, Rosetta encompasses the entire digital preservation workflow, including the acquisition, validation, ingest, storage, preservation, and delivery of digital objects. It enables academic institutions as well as libraries, archives, and other memory institutions to manage, preserve, and provide access in perpetuity to institutional documents, research output in digital formats, digital images, websites, and other digitally born and digitised materials.
