EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has announced that the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City, Mexico, has switched from another discovery provider's service to EBSCO Discovery Service™ (EDS).
UNAM was founded in 1551, making it the oldest university in North America. It is the largest university in Latin America and was ranked in the top 200 best universities in the world according to the THES - QS World University Rankings.
The university's library system, comprised of more than130 libraries, had been using another discovery solution but after a side-by-side comparison they decided to migrate to EDS for its highly-refined relevancy ranking and superior search experience. The technical support services of the EBSCO Discovery Service team, was also a big part of the decision to go with EDS.
