STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced the launch of two new modules in Pure, Elsevier's research information management system. These modules are: Award Management and Research Intelligence.
Pure, one of the latest additions to Elsevier's SciVal research management tools, aggregates an institution's research and faculty information and provides customised reports for research administrators, researchers and librarians. The system facilitates an evidence-based approach to making business decisions, setting research strategy and performing assessment exercises.
With the Award Management module in Pure, users are now able to track funding opportunities, structure the grant application process and provide an overview of awarded grants and related projects. The Research Intelligence module complements this by allowing users to set departmental targets and display these and other customised metrics, such as Snowball Metrics, on dashboards that can be easily shared with members of their organisation. Together these modules help Pure extend its coverage across the research management life cycle, enabling the entire institution to more successfully track and manage their research effectiveness.
Designed to support the many stages of the research planning cycle, Elsevier's SciVal suite of solutions provides information about research performance, funding and expertise to enable informed decision-making and drive successful outcomes. Serving research institutions, funding agencies and policy bodies, SciVal delivers objective analytical capabilities that can enhance the performance of individuals, teams and organisations.
