Science and Research Content

Three new publishers participate in the CLOCKSS digital preservation archive -

The CLOCKSS Archive has announced the participation of the Philosophy Documentation Center; Reveal Digital; and the Southwest Journal of Pulmonary and Critical Care. CLOCKSS will preserve their collections in its geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world.

This action provides for content to be freely available to everyone after a "trigger event" and ensures an author's work will be maximally accessible and useful over time.

The Philosophy Documentation Center has been serving the scholarly community on a non-profit basis since 1966, earning a reputation for excellence with the publication of essential reference materials, peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and research databases.

Reveal Digital is a revolutionary platform and framework for libraries to collaborate and create unique digital collections using a strict cost-recovery pricing model. It helps libraries and other content owners work together as partners to bring rare – and untapped – content to the digital world as an effective alternative to popular mass digitisation projects.

Southwest Journal of Pulmonary and Critical Care is the official publication of the Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado Thoracic Societies. It is an on-line, broad-based journal that features original research in the multidisciplinary specialties of chest medicine, such as pulmonology, critical care, sleep medicine, and more. In addition, the journal features case presentations, chest imaging and pathology for clinicians, relevant reviews, and much more.
