The Association of Learned and Professional Publishers (ALPSP) and Copyright Clearance Center have announced a webinar titled 'Make a World of Difference: How society publishers can extend their global outreach.' The session is scheduled for October 26, 2015, online 11:00 - 12:30 ET.
Smaller publishers can't do everything themselves, and nor in many cases do large publishers. Online platforms, subscription and sales agents, aggregators, academic and professional societies, cross-publisher collaborations, consultants and advisers, launching new journals - all these and more offer vital opportunities for publishers to expand their global reach. But how should publishers prioritise and choose between them, and how can they make the most of these partnerships? This session will focus on providing some practical answers to these key questions.
Speakers include Peter Richardson, Managing Director, The British Editorial Society of Bone & Joint Surgery; Anne Powell, Programme Manager, Information Access & Publisher Liaison, INASP; and David Sampson, Senior Director and Publisher, Journals at the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
This is a must attend event for those with responsibility for collaborative partnerships or strategic input into publishing, marketing, sales or business development. The webinar is also suited to those working in both small or large organisations.
Brought to you by Scope e-Knowledge Center, a world-leading provider of abstraction, indexing, entity extraction and knowledge organisation models (Taxonomies, Thesauri and Ontologies).
