Boopsie, Inc., the mobile platform-as-a-service provider for libraries worldwide, reported on its major milestones in the second quarter of 2015. The company has signed twelve (12) new libraries as clients in multiple library markets and two new content partners while adding two product enhancements, and multiple features that contribute to the 100 percent customer satisfaction rate found in a recent usage survey.
Boopsie’s new partnerships span the information industry, including medical libraries, military libraries, law libraries, and consortia. The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, Best Best & Krieger, The Law Society of Upper Canada, OHIONET and The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC) have each worked with Boopsie to create a customised mobile app to connect library users with the highest quality resources — from renowned vendors like OverDrive, ProQuest, EBSCO, LexisNexis, the newly added Comics Plus: Library Edition, and Recorded Books — on a user-friendly, native mobile interface.
New product features include Boopsie’s Ratings and Reviews, which allows users to leave a 1 to 5 star rating and review for any title in their library’s catalogue. Additionally, the newly added Top 20 Books channel offers a data-driven carousel of book titles that are currently trending as the most popular with the over 3 million users of Boopsie’s mobile app platform.
Boopsie’s AccessILS platform has become the de facto standard for integration of digital catalogues with legacy library content management systems worldwide, reducing vendor resources required to
integrate with various desktop and mobile technologies used throughout the industry.
