Cambridge University Libraries go live with Ex Libris Alma and Primo solutions -

Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced the successful implementation of the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform and Primo® discovery and delivery solution at the University of Cambridge. The Alma and Primo solutions will be an integral part of services at multiple Cambridge libraries.

The Alma and Primo solutions enable the University to unify the management of its digital and print resources, take advantage of the collaborative Alma capabilities, and present users with a coherent view of the services and collections that are available to them.

The libraries of the University of Cambridge house rich and diverse collections of information resources to support the teaching and research of the University. There are over 100 libraries in Cambridge. More than eight million books and periodicals, one million maps, and many thousands of manuscripts occupy more than 125 miles of shelving. Department and faculty library collections support teaching and research in subject areas taught at Cambridge and add breadth to what is available for students and academics.
