Academic publisher SAGE Publishing has announced that Ian Mulvany is joining the company as Head of Product Innovation. Mulvany joins from eLife and will be in place from September 2016.
Mulvany will join SAGE Publishing's innovation unit developing digital products and services that respond to new methodological challenges facing social scientists in a world of big data. SAGE is excited by changes in the research landscape as a result of the availability of varied, vast datasets that can be used by researchers to provide insights into the social world.
In his new position Mulvany will be actively shaping product strategy and development, driving product innovation beyond traditional publishing.
