Nature Publishing Group and the Institute of Electronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IECAS) have announced the 2015 launch of Microsystems & Nanoengineering. The online open access journal will go live on nature.com in March 2015, and begin accepting submissions towards the end of this year.
Led by Editor-in Chief Professor Yi-Rong Wu, Microsystems & Nanoengineering will publish original research articles and reviews in the latest aspects of Micro and Nano Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS/NEMS). The journal will cover new design (theory, modelling and simulation), fabrication, characterisation, reliability, and applications of devices and systems in micro and nano scales.
Published research articles will be freely accessible online to a global audience immediately on publication. An article-processing charge (APC) is levied on acceptance, and authors are offered a choice of Creative Common Licenses, including the Creative Commons Attribution (BY) license.
Microsystems & Nanoengineering is the 9th journal to be published by NPG in collaboration with partners in China, and the 17th in the Asia-Pacific region. All 64 NPG academic, society and partner publications have introduced open access options or are open access journals.
