EBSCO Information Services helps global researchers prepare for the One Belt, One Road trade initiative -

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has announced that an authoritative international collection of journals and publications from more than 60 countries that make-up the One Belt, One Road trade initiative is now available. The only available resource of its kind, One Belt, One Road Reference SourceTM helps researchers build a more robust understanding of the cultures and economies that make-up the initiative and helps identify new trade possibilities.

The One Belt, One Road initiative is a trade and growth strategy proposed by the People's Republic of China. The initiative is designed to further connect mainland China with trading partners in Western Europe, along the One Belt/New Silk Road route and through development of the Maritime Silk Road. Upcoming maritime improvement strategies include new cargo infrastructure and construction of regional seaports to help support overseas shipping initiatives.

According to EBSCO Vice President of Sales, Peter Kung, the One Belt, One Road Reference Source will become an important education portal for researchers and a key resource for multi-regional development initiatives.

The One Belt, One Road Reference Source offers more than 5,300 full-text journals, including many hard-to-find local publications from the small countries involved in the initiative. The resource also includes close to 65 full-text newspapers and more than 270 reports and conference proceedings. The development of One Belt, One Road Reference Source is another example of EBSCO’s continued commitment to global scholarly research. By providing access to quality regional content, One Belt, One Road Reference Source helps support the local and global perspectives necessary in multi-national environments.

With subject content from multiple disciplines, the collection includes articles from the Journal of Architecture and Civil Engineering (China), Journal of Surveying, Construction & Property (Malaysia), Educational Sciences (Turkey), Journal of Theoretical & Applied Information Technology (Pakistan), Biomedical Chemistry (Russian Federation), GSTF Journal of Mathematics, Statistics & Operations Research (Singapore), China Economist (China), and more.
