Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that Australia's Charles Darwin University (CDU) has opted for a library services platform consisting of the Ex Libris Alma® library management service and the Ex Libris Primo® discovery and delivery platform. These two solutions will be replacing Intota™ and SirsiDynix Symphony® systems.
A number of factors were key to the university's decision to move to Alma and Primo. In Alma and Primo, CDU found a superior user experience and an interface that would be mobile-friendly, accommodating any device, used in any place and at any time. In addition, with the Alma and Primo cloud platform and agile development, updates would be immediate and trouble-free. Finally, the CDU team was impressed by the strong analytics and unified workflows that Alma and Primo provide, as well as the robust and comprehensive APIs that are available.
