Second Academic Book Week scheduled for January 25, 2017 -

Research Libraries UK will partner with the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers, the Booksellers Association, the British Library, Midas PR, The Publishers Association and University College London for the second Academic Book Week.

The event is a week-long celebration of the diversity, innovation and influence of academic books throughout history, bringing together academics, booksellers, publishers, libraries, institutions and researchers to celebrate the academic book and consider its future.

The flagship event to mark the week, and the first event to be announced, will be the launch of the final report of the Academic Book of The Future project. The event will be hosted at the British Library on January 25, 2017.

Academic Book Week is calling for events from individuals, organisations and stakeholders in the academic book landscape. The organisers of #AcBookWeek are particularly interested in debates, seminars, workshops, competitions and interview suggestions. The 2017 event will be held from January 23-28, 2017 and is currently inviting submissions for events.
