ProQuest announces new appointments -

ProQuest has announced the appointment of Ben Lewis as the company's new Senior Vice-President, Strategy and Business Development. In his new role, Lewis will lead ProQuest's global strategy function and assists on both internal and external business development activities. He will report to CEO Kurt Sanford.

Lewis joins ProQuest from Moody's where he was Vice President and Head of Strategy, responsible for developing corporate strategy across a portfolio of global information assets. Prior to Moody's, Lewis served in several roles at Thomson Reuters, including Vice President of Strategy and leader of a strategic sales group. While at Thomson Reuters he organised numerous growth projects in the scientific, healthcare, legal and financial services markets.

In a related announcement, ProQuest has named Roger Retke to the newly-created position of Vice President, Strategic Projects. In this role, Retke will lead the overall strategy and operational implementation of ProQuest discovery and library management technology solutions. Retke joins the Workflow Solutions leadership team and brings a track record of success in strategic management and execution that will be applied to planning, development, and execution of the ProQuest enterprise strategy.

Retke is known for his innovation in senior roles that span more than 20 years in product development, organizational design, program management, and operational execution. Most recently, Retke was Vice President, Software Engineering and Quality at Systech International, a leader in pharmaceutical packaging and serialization automation.
