CAS strengthens customer support and marketing with representation in new ACS International office in Beijing -

Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), a division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the world's authority for chemical information, has announced the addition of dedicated ACS International, Ltd. (ACSI) representatives, located in the new Beijing office, to serve the needs of customers in China. ACSI representatives around the world market and support products from the ACS Publications and CAS divisions, provide customer assistance and training activities, and facilitate Membership services.

The newly added staff in the ACSI Beijing office are initially focused on servicing CAS products and customer needs. Expanded support of activities within the broader Society, including ACS Publications and Membership, may follow.

Team members in the Beijing office under the leadership of Caroline Ma, Chief Representative, will ensure that CAS customers in China benefit from the world-class support and collaboration that is the hallmark of CAS.

CAS has built strong relationships with organisations throughout China. Numerous companies, academic institutions, government organisations and contract research organisations benefit from access to SciFinder and STN to advance their research, pharmaceutical development and patenting activities, among others. CAS has also long recognised China's increasingly important role as a reputable source for chemical information, with research from China covered extensively in the CAS databases.

ACS, one of the largest scientific societies with more than 161,000 members, will further leverage this office to broaden the dissemination of its services and expand outreach initiatives within China going forward. As a leading source of authoritative scientific information, ACS is at the forefront of the evolving worldwide chemical enterprise and is the premier professional home for chemists, chemical engineers and related professions around the globe.
