Radiological Society of North America to preserve e-journals with Portico -

Digital preservation specialist Portico has announced that the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) will be preserving its e-journals, Radiology and RadioGraphics, with Portico. With this deal, RSNA seeks to ensure that their content will be secure and available into the future. RSNA is based in Oak Brook, Illinois.

The Radiological Society of North America is an international society of radiologists, medical physicists and other medical professionals with more than 51,000 members across the globe. Through its educational resources, RSNA provides hundreds of thousands of continuing education credits toward physicians' maintenance of certification - more than one million CME certificates have been awarded since 2000.

Portico is supported by more than 900 libraries and over 220 publishers - representing more than 2000 scholarly societies and associations - worldwide. Portico is part of ITHAKA, a not-for-profit organization helping the academic community use digital technologies to preserve the scholarly record and to advance research and teaching in sustainable ways.
