OCLC, the non-profit computer library service and research organisation, has announced that Maryvonne Enjolras has joined OCLC EMEA as Regional Director. In this newly created role, Enjolras is overseeing the expansion of OCLC services in France, Portugal and Spain. She will be based in OCLC's new office in Barcelona.
Bringing her 29 years of experience in the library environment — working largely in library automation— Enjolras is ideally suited to this strategic role within the OCLC cooperative. Her previous position was focused on business development in a number of regions playing a key role in the company's expansion in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
Enjolras' appointment represents a significant move by OCLC as WorldShare has become firmly established in Europe.
