Healthcare information solutions provider Wolters Kluwer Health has announced that its Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) textbooks and digital guides were honoured with 12 prizes at the 2014 BMA Medical Book Awards. The company's products took first place in five of 21 categories including Digital and Online Resources, Internal Medicine, Pathology, Surgery, and Surgery Specialties, and received seven "Highly Commended" awards.
Sponsored by the British Medical Association (BMA), the annual Medical Book Awards are recognised as among the most prestigious and influential in medical publishing.
LWW medical titles are used by students, faculty, and practitioners at leading academic and healthcare institutions, and hospitals worldwide. The content is available via multiple formats, including print and online solutions such as the Ovid medical research platform.
In a related announcement, Thieme, a scientific, medical, and academic publishing house, announced that it won the First Prize in the Oncology category and Highly Commended in the Radiology and Surgical Specialties categories at the 2014 British Medical Association's Medical Book Awards ceremony.
