Library automation solutions provider Ex Libris Group has announced that the State Library of New South Wales (NSW) in Australia has adopted a suite of Ex Libris solutions—comprising the Alma® library management solution, the Primo® discovery and delivery solution, and the Rosetta digital asset management and preservation system—and Axiell Group's Adlib Archive to manage its archival collections. These solutions replace multiple legacy systems used by the Library. Together, these integrated systems will enable the State Library to offer a world-class discovery experience to its large user community.
As part of the State Library's Digital Excellence Program, supported by the NSW Government, the Library is fast tracking the digitisation of its most iconic, at risk, and highly valued collections, undertaking a complete renewal of its underlying infrastructure and systems, and improving the online discoverability of its vast collections. This critical work will make it even easier for schools, universities, family historians, researchers and many others to find and use the Library's unique materials.
Axiell Group's ALM business area is dedicated to supplying archive, special collections library, and museum solutions. Axiell Group serves libraries, schools, archives, museums and government authorities with technically advanced and innovative solutions developed in close cooperation with its customers and partners.
