Non-profit scientific publisher IOP Publishing has launched new sections in two of its journals - Environmental Research Reviews and Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter (JPCM).
Environmental Research Reviews has launched a new reviews section to meet the need for systematic, evidence-based reviews of important and topical environmental issues. While ERL will also accept standard reviews, the journal hopes to lead the way in publishing more quantitative, meta-data based reviews of important environmental questions.
While most review articles will be specifically commissioned by the Reviews Editorial Board (headed by Reviews Editor, Professor Daniel Rubenstein from Princeton University, US), the journal will also consider unsolicited review articles. The scope of the reviews section matches that of ERL itself covering all of environmental science.
JPCM has added a new section devoted to reporting novel methods, both computational and experimental, that have been utilised by condensed matter researchers. Within this section JPCM welcomes research papers and fast track communications describing significant new facilities, tools, methodology and computational methods.
The journal's international editorial board is led by Dr Jason S Gardner, NSRRC, Taiwan and ANSTO, Australia.
