Oklahoma Panhandle State University selects EBSCO Discovery Service -

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has announced that the Oklahoma Panhandle State University has selected EBSCO Discovery Service™ (EDS) as its library discovery tool. The university chose EDS to increase resource usage and improve library visibility at its Marvin E. McKee Library.

The university needed a discovery tool that would increase exposure of library resources to users, and EBSCO Discovery Service was the perfect solution. Elaina Stewart, Systems and Electronic Resources Librarian at McKee Library, attributes this wider use of resources in part to the dynamic interface of EDS. As a result of choosing EDS, the library has seen a 300 percent increase of full-text downloads between July 1, 2013, and June 30, 2014.

More importantly, EBSCO Discovery Service brought this increased usage at a great value. Stewart says, "Small institutions have small budgets, and very rarely have budget increases in today's economy. McKee Library is very value-conscious and strives to get the most out of any money that we spend on behalf of our university."

EBSCO Discovery Service creates a unified, customised index of an institution's information resources, and an easy, yet powerful means of accessing all of that content from a single search box.
