InTechOpen's Managing Director, Sara Uhač, gave a keynote presentation at STM's Annual Frankfurt Conference on October 18, 2016.
The presentation titled 'Open Access Books - The New Model,' not only provided an overview of InTechOpen books, authors, editors, and readers, but also shared with the audience a little bit more about InTechOpen: past, present and future.
The Open Access publishing model and the InTechOpen Book builds on concepts such as a greater focus on the dissemination of research and proliferation of knowledge while supporting the company's mission to give researchers an opportunity to make a greater impact within the scientific community.
This year's conference hosted a total of 420 attendants and together with the previously announced speakers featured Carlos Moedas, the European Commissioner for Research Science and Innovation. Moedas discussed the Open Access agenda of the European Union and stressed the importance of Open Access.
