APA makes content available to libraries through EBSCO eBooks -

The American Psychological Association (APA) is making its e-books available to libraries on the EBSCO eBooks™ platform. The agreement with EBSCO Information Services gives libraries cost-effective access to in-demand psychology, behavioural sciences and social sciences titles.

At launch, 300 scholarly and professional titles from the APA are accessible through EBSCO eBooks. The content covers a wide-range of topics in psychology and related disciplines, including medicine, neuroscience, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, and more. Available titles include important new releases such as the APA Dictionary of Psychology, Second Edition, and The Psychology of Law: Human Behavior, Legal Institutions, and Law, by Bruce D. Sales and Daniel A. Krauss.

Libraries have several options when purchasing APA e-books from EBSCO: using the ownership model (one user); through Patron-Driven Acquisition (PDA); or via lease. Titles can be purchased directly through the EBSCOhost Collection Manager, as well as through GOBI or OASIS. With no markups and no fees on any title, EBSCO eBooks is an economical and convenient way for libraries to acquire the titles that researchers, clinicians, and students need.
