CERN organises Workshop on Innovations in Scholarly Communication (OAI9) for the ninth time -

For the ninth time CERN organised the Workshop on Innovations in Scholarly Communication (OAI9) held in Geneva, from June 17-19.

With more than 200 participants from around the world (mostly from Europe and North America), OAI9 had a very rich, diverse and interesting programme, starting with a look into the future in the opening keynote from Michael Nielsen 'Beyond Open Access'. All the presentations, and some of videos are now available in the Programme pages.

Several members of COAR attended OAI9 and the COAR work on Interoperability was presented, and discussed with interest, with some participants, both at the Open Access Café, on the Tutorials session, where Eloy Rodrigues chaired one of the "tables" on repository networks and interoperability, and during the Poster session where one poster on the COAR Roadmap for Future Directions for repositories Interoperability was presented.
