Overleaf and IEEE collaborate to integrate advanced online editing tools into IEEE Collabratec -

Overleaf, an academic authorship tool, has announced that the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has integrated the Overleaf online LaTeX and rich text collaborative writing and publishing tool into IEEE Collabratec™, the new IEEE professional networking and collaboration platform.

IEEE, a global organisation with more than 426,000 members around the world, launched IEEE Collabratec earlier this month. This new platform offers an integrated online community, enabling users to network, collaborate, manage content, and create documents – all within a centralised hub. IEEE Collabratec is designed for authors, researchers, IEEE members, and other technology professionals with similar fields of interest.

Overleaf, a cloud-based scientific authoring platform that makes it easy for researchers to write, collaborate, and publish technical documents, is fully integrated into IEEE Collabratec. Users will have access to Overleaf’s full LaTeX writing and editing platform, directly within the IEEE Collabratec system. With access to IEEE’s LaTeX templates, which will ease the writing process by having the correct template available with the click of a button, this full integration will also provide an unlimited number of users the opportunity to write and collaborate on unlimited projects, effortlessly syncing documents and metadata between the two systems.
