ACI Information Group has announced that its research database, the ACI Scholarly Blog Index, has been added to EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS). In partnership with EBSCO Information Services, researchers at libraries that have implemented EDS can now discover scholarly blogs in their search results with direct links to the ACI Scholarly Blog Index website to review authors' credentials and social media footprints.
According to ACI Information Group President Larry Schwartz, with the integration of the ACI Scholarly Blog Index into EDS, students, faculty, and librarians at institutions that use the EDS platform will be able to easily find relevant, credentialed blog content for their academic research needs. The purpose of EBSCO Discovery Service is to enhance the discoverability of research content. The ACI Scholarly Blog Index supports that purpose by offering not only authoritative content but also comprehensive metadata, which improves discoverability.
