Dr. Lee H. Latimer elected to board of the American Chemical Society -

Dr. Lee H. Latimer, head of chemistry at NeurOp Inc., has been elected director-at-large of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the world’s largest scientific society. He will begin his three-year term on the board Jan. 1, 2016.

Charpentier is a former member and chair of the board of the ACS.

The American Chemical Society is a non-profit organization chartered by the U.S. Congress. With more than 158,000 members, ACS is the world’s largest scientific society and a global leader in providing access to chemistry-related research through its multiple databases, peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences. Its main offices are in Washington, D.C., and Columbus, Ohio.
