The International Publishers Association (IPA) and The London Book Fair (LBF) have announced that the fourth edition of their successful What Works? Successful Education Policies, Resources and Technologies education conference will take place on April 12, 2016 in association with The Publishers Association.
The conference will begin with a keynote address from OECD Analyst Francesco Avvisati on his report ‘Students, Computers and Learning’, with a response from Laurie Forcier, Head of Thought Leadership, Pearson, chaired by former UK minister and TES Global Chief Education Advisor, Lord Knight. Li Pengyi, President of China Education Publishing and Media Group will give the second keynote speech of the conference.
Top level speakers from major international agencies, education institutions and publishers from countries including America, Brazil, France, China, Germany, Mexico and The Netherlands will present throughout the day. Topics on the 2016 conference agenda include the integration of technology into the curriculum and the impact on resources; research on digital adoption in Mexico and its outcomes; and moving from textbooks to digital learning objects. A session has also been scheduled on digital issues which will cover data protection, privacy and cybersecurity.
