CCC announces findings from global RightFind roundtable discussions -

Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a global licensing and content solutions organisation, recently brought together global information professionals from life science and other industries in Boston and Basel, Switzerland.

The two roundtable discussions centered on helping researchers gain easier access to mission-critical content for competitive advantage, creating more flexible licensing models, the impact of Open Access, the increasingly collaborative nature of online research, and challenges to universal resource access, including authentication through proxies and gateways.

Representatives included industry leaders such as Abbott Laboratories, Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Cargill, Covance, Eli Lilly, FrieslandCampina, Genzyme, Janssen, Pfizer, Philip Morris, Nestle, Syngenta, Teva Pharmaceuticals, UCB, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals.

CCC’s RightFind™ platform offers immediate, easy access to a full range of science, technical, and medical (STM) peer-reviewed content. Its unique suite of cloud-based workflow solutions includes XML for Mining, the first commercial tool of its kind dedicated to the information industry, coupling content licensing with text mining-ready content, and Content Decision Support Services, which helps information managers make data-driven decisions to support information investments. CCC was recently named one of "10 to Watch" in the Outsell market report, "Text and Data Mining Technologies: Technologies Under Construction."
