Mobile platform-as-a-service (PaaS) provider Boopsie, Inc. has broadened its reach into new strategic international markets with the addition of Abu Dhabi University, the internationally recognized academic institution focused on applied research that drives economic and social development in the region. This week, the platform-as-a-service provider for libraries worldwide announced that the customised app it created in partnership with Abu Dhabi University is now live.
Working closely with Abu Dhabi University, Boopsie developed a library-branded native mobile application that provides researchers with seamless access to authoritative content from trusted aggregators and publishers including EBSCO and Elsevier. The app connects users to these high quality resources on a user-friendly interface.
The Abu Dhabi University (ADU) Library serves as the primary information source for students, faculty and staff of the University, as well as others who visit the University. By combining the latest information technology with excellent public service, the library staff builds and maintains a rich information environment, facilitates access to it, and creates a place that functions as a hub of campus and community for scholarly activities.
The library and collections are designed to be as accessible as possible, incorporating the latest technology for immediate access to print and electronic materials, study areas, as well as computer labs and media equipment services.
Though Abu Dhabi University is Boopsie's first United Arab Emirates-based client, Boopsie's platform is used by dozens of international libraries and in multiple languages.
