University of Limerick goes live with Ex Libris Alma and Primo -

Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that after 19 years on a legacy library management system, the University of Limerick is now using the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform and Primo® discovery and delivery solution. In addition, the university is currently in the implementation stages of the Ex Libris LegantoSM course reading list solution, which is scheduled to go live in the third quarter of 2017.

The university's migration from the Capita Alto library management system to Alma has given Limerick an opportunity to simplify its workflows and lower the costs associated with third-party software.

Established in 1972, the University of Limerick is an independent, internationally focussed university with over 14,000 students and 1,444 staff. It is a young, energetic and enterprising university with a proud record of innovation in education and excellence in research and scholarship. UL is home to the Bernal Institute, an €86 million science and engineering research institute. UL undergraduates benefit from the largest Co-operative Education Program and the largest ERASMUS program in Ireland.
