Follett Corporation, which claims to be the world's largest single source of books, entertainment products, digital content and multi-media for libraries, schools and retailers, has announced the appointment of David Cully to President for Baker & Taylor, effective April 1, 2017. Cully joined Baker & Taylor in 2008, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Merchandising/Digital Media Services.
In his new role, Cully will be responsible for leading and managing the operations of the Baker & Taylor retail and public library businesses. He will play a key role in expanding Baker & Taylor's market presence and position as part of Follett's overall growth plan. He will work closely with Follett leadership to explore new opportunities in expanding the capabilities of combined teams to best serve the markets and customers. Cully will report to George Coe who was recently appointed to Chief Operating Officer for Follett Corporation and Baker & Taylor.
Prior to Baker & Taylor, Cully held a variety of executive and leadership positions at leading companies in the retail and publishing industries, including Barnes & Noble, Simon & Schuster, Putnam Berkley Publishing Group and Waldenbooks.
