IPR License unveils Instant Rights -

IPR License, the marketplace for publishers to trade rights globally, has announced that it has launched Instant Rights. This new service will enable rights sellers to place 'Buy Rights' buttons anywhere online that can then lead buyers to a simple, automated process to purchase translation rights quickly and efficiently.

Instant Rights is designed to fit into any publisher's existing rights ecosystem and the 'Buy Rights' buttons can be placed on any website or rights guide. In fact, they can be placed anywhere that publishers have rights listed online. Once these buttons have been installed, Instant Rights can (for a flat fee) then automatically handle a publisher's low-value or backlist transactions, leaving its rights team to focus on high-value deals. The solution has been created with the view to delivering a better ROI for the rights department. Not only will this free up time in their Rights departments, and avoid endless chasing of royalty statements on low-value sales, but it will also improve the company's rights revenue.

Publishers choosing to adopt the Instant Rights solution will first need to set up a rights seller account with IPR License. They will then be able to customise, by territory or even by title, which deals are handled automatically and which are sent directly through to their own rights professionals. When it comes to payment, once the rights deal has been approved, there will be no more waiting for cheques to clear because Instant Rights includes an online payment processing system with Stripe, making sure that buyers pay online before receiving their content.
