Healthcare knowledge provider BMJ has launched BMJ Open Quality, an open access journal dedicated to publishing high quality, peer reviewed healthcare improvement work.
The journal welcomes articles covering original research, local, national and international quality improvement (QI) projects, value-based healthcare improvement initiatives and educational improvement work.
BMJ Open Quality provides a wide range of online resources such as videos, blogs, podcasts and templates to help health professionals run and write up quality improvement projects.
The journal adheres to a rigorous and transparent peer review process and papers are considered on the basis of methodological soundness rather than priority or novelty.
And in common with BMJ's other titles, it will operate a fast submission and review process with continuous publication online, to ensure that timely, up-to-date research is available worldwide.
BMJ Open Quality is edited by Jessamy Bagenal, a general surgical registrar who is passionate about quality improvement in the NHS.
