Academic publisher Emerald has announced the appointment of Professor Greg W. Marshall, Charles Harwood Professor of Marketing and Strategy, Crummer Graduate School of Business USA as the new Editor-in-Chief of European Journal of Marketing.
Prof Marshall also holds an appointment as Honorary Professor of Marketing and Strategy at the Aston Business School, Birmingham UK. He comes to the journal with a wealth of editorial experience, and strong networks in the marketing field worldwide.
European Journal of Marketing receives well over 800 submissions per year and publishes 12 issues per year. It is included in SSCI and Scopus and registers around 1 million downloads per year. Its Impact Factor has increased steadily since it gained one in 2008.
Prof Marshall will take up his new role in January 2018. Emerald will be appointing three Regional Editors to work with him under a new review structure: Regional Editor – Europe; Regional Editor – Americas; and Regional Editor – Asia Pacific.
Applications are invited for these positions. The role will involve working closely with the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors with respect to submissions from authors in the respective region. The Regional Editor will control the review process for these submissions and engage the subject expertise of the Associate Editors, who are responsible for the various specific content sub-fields of marketing. The Regional Editors will play a key role in the continued strategic growth and development of the journal and will be its key ambassadors in their parts of the world.
