Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) has selected the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform to replace the institute's Voyager® integrated library system. NAIT is already using the Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution, which will be tightly integrated with Alma to optimise the student and staff experience.
Among the functionality requirements that NAIT defined for its new library system was digital asset management that is part of the library services platform rather than a separate product. The Alma-Primo combination not only meets this requirement but also helps break down silos by enabling libraries to manage electronic, digital, and print assets within a single system and to provide access to all resources within a single interface.
The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) is a polytechnic and applied sciences institute providing career programs in applied research, technical training, applied education, and learning designed to meet the demands of Alberta's technical and knowledge-based industries. NAIT offers approximately 140 credit programs leading to applied degrees, diplomas, and certificates.
