International Journal of Human Rights in Healthcare marks 10th anniversary with special launch at the House of Commons -

The International Journal of Human Rights in Healthcare (IJHRH) will mark its 10th anniversary with the launch of a special issue on the topic of ‘Physical and Mental Health of Children and Young People' at an event hosted by Rt Hon MP Norman Lamb at the House of Commons on October 12, 2017.

IJHRH is an international, peer-reviewed journal with a unique practical approach to promoting equality, inclusion and human rights in health and social care.

The launch will be attended by IJHRH Editor-in-Chief, Dr Theo Gavrielides (Founder and Director of The IARS International Institute and the Founder and co-Director of the Restorative Justice for All Institute); co-editors of the special issue, Dr Deborah Christie (Department of Child and Adolescent Psychological Services, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) and Dr Lee Hudson (Consultant General Paediatrician, Great Ormond Street Hospital); and a number of selected guests.

IJHRH publishes scholarly and double blind peer-reviewed papers of the highest standard, including case studies and book reviews. The journal aims to explore what is currently known about discrimination and disadvantage, with a particular focus on health and social care. The journal also pushes the barriers of the race equality discourse by identifying new avenues for practice and policy, and creates bridges between policymakers, practitioners and researchers; and identifies and attempts to understand the social determinants of health equity and practical interventions in to overcome barriers.
