Unbound Medicine, a provider of knowledge management solutions for healthcare, has announced the launch of a leading women's health app for health professionals in collaboration with the Scrub Hill Press. Derived from the Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Infertility Handbook for Clinicians, the app combines rapid-access information with expert commentary, enabling trainees and clinicians to consult diagnosis and treatment options at the point of care.
Scrub Hill Press chose Unbound Medicine's online authoring platform, uPub™ to modernise their popular handbook used by thousands of healthcare providers for over 30 years. The uPub platform allows publishers and institutions to easily migrate information to a digital platform as well as the ability to update information as quickly as it changes.
Creating the Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Infertility Handbook for Clinicians in uPub also opened additional revenue sources and publishing flexibility for Scrub Hill. At present, healthcare professionals can purchase in print, as an app (Apple® iTunes and Android™ platforms), book/app bundles or as an institutional license. With the content now in uPub, Scrub Hill has the option to print new editions, create new versions of the apps, and provide users with regular updates as they become available.
