The journal Biosurface and Biotribology is now part of a growing portfolio of fully gold open access journals in the IET Open programme. Covering the latest research topics, the Institution of Engineering and Technology's (IET) fully open access journals showcase the best in engineering science and offer researchers a place to publish their most innovative work.
The journal has arisen from a partnership between the IET and Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU), PR China, to share and promote the work of international biologists, physicists, material scientists and engineers studying the interactions between biological and prosthetic surfaces and the physical, chemical and biological effects that arise as a consequence. The Editor-in-Chief of Biosurface and Biotribology, Professor Zhong-Rong Zhou of SWJTU, is an esteemed academic who has made significant contributions to this field of research.
Now indexed in the Ei Compendex, each issue of Biosurface and Biotribology includes research articles, topical reviews and case reports from across the tribology research field. This includes tribology-based science and technology on natural bio-surfaces, natural organs and tissues, bio-materials and coating, interfaces between biological tissues and biomedical devices and bionic tribo-designs.
