Research technology company Digital Science has announced the addition of over 360,000 policy documents to research insights platform Dimensions. With this integration, Dimensions further broadens the view of activity across the research lifecycle and provides valuable insights into an important and high profile aspect of the impact of the research.
Initially drawn from over 50 global policy sources, the integration of these documents will enable users to analyse the societal influence of published research, and track policy activity and trends around the world. With this integration, Dimensions becomes the first of any bibliographic database or research analytics tool to offer such capability.
Users of the free version of Dimensions, which provides openly available search and related metrics for over 96 million publications, will be able to see the citing policy documents listed in individual publication records.
Within Dimensions Plus and Dimensions Analytics, users will also be able to search across all of the policy records - with the option to further filter by publication year, publishing organisation and research category.
Policy sources that are part of this initial integration include: Government of the United Kingdom; World Health Organization; World Bank; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Australian Policy Online; and over 45 others.
