Digital preservation service Portico has announced that the Journal of the Louisiana State Medical Society is being preserved with Portico, ensuring that their content will be secure and available into the future.
Established in 1844, the Journal of the Louisiana State Medical Society is one of the oldest periodicals in the nation. The journal has been devoted to the cultivation of medicine and the associated sciences that meets the needs of today's physicians and over 6,000 members.
In a related announcement, Portico announced that the Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Coimbra is preserving their Open Access e-journal Revista de Enfermagem Referencia with Portico, ensuring that their content will be secure and available into the future.
