Society for Scholarly Publishing seeks mentors and mentees for Fall 2019 Mentorship Program -

The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) is now accepting applications for the next cohort of its Mentorship Program. This program is ideal for professionals at all career levels to develop new relationships, share experiences, and learn from others outside their organisations by connecting with a mentor.

As the Spring 2019 cohort comes to an end, the SSP Career Development Committee is seeking potential mentors and mentees to participate in the program for Fall 2019. The next cohort will run from September through March 2020, and SSP is accepting applications for mentees and mentors now through August 16.

Now in its second year, this initiative aims to connect members of SSP for professional development, information exchange, networking, personal growth, and career advancement.

Accepted participants are matched with a mentor/mentee by the Career Development Committee, and expected to meet at least once per month for six months, either in-person or by teleconferencing. Mentors and mentees are also required to attend an online orientation and virtual discussion group. There is no cost to apply, but program participants (both mentors and mentees) must be SSP members.
