The American Diabetes Association (ADA) has launched a new portal for sharing and discovering supplementary research data powered by Figshare, available at https://diabetesjournals.figshare.com.
Supplementary research data published in four of the ADA’s journals - Diabetes, Diabetes Care, Clinical Diabetes, and Diabetes Spectrum - will be available in this portal. Each piece of supplementary material will be free to access and assigned its own Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for citing.
All supplementary material will display usage statistics including views, downloads, citations, and Altmetrics (metrics and qualitative data that are complementary to traditional, citation-based metrics), helping authors measure the dissemination and impact of their research data.
